Color of Hope Festival
On June 25, 2022, the first ever “Color of Hope Festival” will be held in
Rexburg, Idaho, to raise awareness in the fight against human trafficking.
The “Color of Hope Festival” will serve as a fundraising effort, in partnership with Dahlia’s
Hope, inUpowers and other organizations, to bring aftercare therapies and other services
for sex-trafficking survivors in Eastern Idaho. The day will be filled with activities for all
ages, including:
● Color Run 5K at Smith Park
● Juried Chalk Art Competition at Porter Park with prizes for winners
● Vendors throughout Porter Park
● Music, DJ’ed dance parties and other live entertainment
Many people are unaware of how prevalent the problem of sex trafficking is in the
United States, and Eastern Idaho is not immune — for one example, last year a man
was arrested for rape that stemmed from sex trafficking activity at a local youth group
home in Idaho Falls. Dahlia’s Hope seeks not only to provide a safe range of therapy
modalities to help survivors on the path to healing, but also to bring awareness so
locals can recognize the signs of human trafficking as a community.
All families and individuals from Eastern Idaho and the surrounding areas are invited to
participate in the “Color of Hope Festival.” It’s a chance to enjoy the summer festivities and
to contribute to the cause to bring aftercare for survivors of sex trafficking to the Eastern
Idaho area.
